Exploring Vesturland, Iceland

Western Region (Icelandic: Vesturland) is one of the traditional eight regions of Iceland, located on the western coast of the island. West Iceland’s strength lies in its natural wonders. Highlights include the Snæfellsjökull National Park, which has black sand beaches and diverse rock formations; beautiful lava caves; the most powerful hot spring in Europe and beautiful waterfalls. All good reason for a first visit after my week with Nordic Vision.
