Music inspiration Lofoten

What a wonderful gift from and made by Jeroen Linnenbank . A soundtrack of our Lofoten week. A splendid idea of Arthur van Riet to ask him and his wife to join us. Jeroen moved to Norway in 2006 and is a well-known free-lance musician and collector of all kinds of sounds in nature.

In this soundtrack he mixed the sound of waves, with music of a local brassband and his own guitar composition, inspired by the tune the brassband played. A fantastic result. Back home I found the origin of this music piece: Fra Borge (Tunes from Lofoten) composed by Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen. He is a contemporary Norwegian composer, who grew up in Kabelvåg on Lofoten.

Here’s an example of the sound of waves he picked up at one of our photo-spots.
